During a very productive and plentiful three days in Doha this past week, the Belmont Forum members, partners, and guests worked through the meeting agenda.
On November 7th, in Marrakech, Morocco, the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will open its 22nd meeting. The Belmont Forum will be present to participate in an ICSU-hosted panel on urgent needs in climate research science following the Paris Agreement.
Next week marks the 11th annual plenary meeting of the Belmont Forum. The meeting, hosted by the Qatar National Research Fund in Doha, Qatar, brings together funding organizations and ministries from more than 24 countries, UN and international development agencies, regional science consortia, and international scientific governance bodies.
In Beijing this week, awardees from the joint JPI-FACCE and Belmont Forum Collaborative Research Action on Food Security and Land Use Change will be presenting at the 3rd annual Global Land Project Open Science Meeting.
