Why?

Project Objective: VULPES will evaluate the impact of past climate change on mountain ecosystems and their genetic diversity from around the world, and forecast potential impacts of future climate change. VULPES' goal is to answer the overall question: Are microrefugia the key to ecosystem sustainability in montane ecosystems under projected climate change?
Call Objective: This call aims at fostering research on climate, environmental and related societal change in mountain regions, considering both new measurements, recovery of existing data, and the development and use of integrated modelling strategies by adopting a strong trans- and inter-disciplinary approach.
