Project Objective
This research seeks to improve understanding of the drivers of short to medium term hydro-meteorological variability, its socioeconomic consequences and develop approaches for improved water resources management in the region under uncertainty. The collaboration addresses important knowledge gaps in water supply, demand and sharing, and in the application of research to the effective management of water security.
Call Objective
This call was created to address the following: - Identification and characterization of the interactions between natural processes and human practices that govern water budgeting in selected regions; - Development of approaches that support the evolution of resilient communities/regions through improved seasonal forecasting of droughts, taking into account natural and socio-economic drivers.
