The challenges facing our global ocean demand a truly collaborative, international, and transdisciplinary response. That’s why the Belmont Forum is launching the Ocean 2 Collaborative Research Action (CRA) to support research that contributes to the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
However, we understand that forming the international consortia required to participate in our projects can be tricky.
New Virtual Networking Space
To help you overcome this hurdle, we are excited to announce a new virtual networking space, hosted on the Future Earth platform. This space is specifically designed to facilitate the formation of strong, transdisciplinary partnerships for the Ocean 2 call.
It provides a central hub for researchers, policymakers, civil society organizations, and other relevant social actors to connect, engage early, and co-develop robust proposals.
Explore the Ocean 2 Collaborative Research Action (CRA)
The OCEAN 2 CRA supports transdisciplinary research addressing critical global ocean challenges. Projects are expected to run for 36 months and require research consortia with participants from multiple countries and disciplines, including societal partners.
Proposals must focus on at least one of the following three key areas:
- Biodiversity Conservation and Nature-Based Solutions
- Ocean-Biodiversity-Climate Integration
- Nature Futures, Ocean Governance, and Ethics for Sustainability
Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to vital ocean science. Use the new networking platform to find your partners and submit your proposal!
