During the November Belmont Forum Administrative Plenary (Nov 20-22), members welcomed two new members and two new members to the Belmont Forum community by unanimous vote.
The two new members, National Research Fund Kenya (NRF, Kenya) and Santa Catarina State Research and Innovation Support Foundation (FAPESC), expand our network in Africa and South America. With each new member we are able to reach more parts of the globe, helping us uplift more voices, especially those often not centered in the research community.
Our two new partners, Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and EPIC-N both bring with them a wealth of experience in facilitating transdisciplinary and collaborative research, providing our community additional resources and tools.
“We are thrilled to welcome FAPESC and NRF-Kenya as new Members to the Belmont Forum! Our two new Members bring new opportunities for more researchers from Latin America and Africa to participate in Belmont Forum collaborative research actions!” “We are excited to bring on EPIC-N and CFI as new Belmont Forum Partners! The work of EPIC-N in community led, societally relevant, transdisciplinary research projects, and CFIs expertise and networks supporting global research infrastructure will add diversity and increase reach and opportunities for the Belmont Forum community to develop truly transformative global environmental change research.”
