Next week marks the 11th annual plenary meeting of the Belmont Forum. The meeting, hosted by the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) in Doha, Qatar, brings together funding organizations and ministries from more than 24 countries, UN and international development agencies, regional science consortia, and international scientific governance bodies.

The three-day meeting:

• Highlights areas of common research priority among funding and governance bodies

• Identifies emerging interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research themes for support

• Leverages and connects existing research activities for added value

• Creates new multi-national partnerships necessary for addressing global scientific challenges

The Forum thanks our member hosts, QNRF, and looks forward to a successful and productive meeting in Doha.
